The National Population Commission (NPC) management has made it clear that individuals whose application status remains "pending" will not receive any training. The commission stated that only those whose status shows as "approved" will be eligible for recruitment and training.
This disclosure was made on the NPC's verified Facebook page in response to a question posed by a prospective ad hoc staff member inquiring about their application status for the upcoming 2023 population and housing census in Nigeria.
The prospective applicant asked whether they could still attend the training center even if their application was not approved. In response, the NPC stated that it would not be possible for individuals with a "pending" status to attend training. Only candidates who have been successfully screened and had their status approved will be permitted to attend training. Such candidates will be notified and contacted for further details regarding the training program.
It is seen clearly that the NPC statement states that only screened candidates who are successful will have their status approved. However, there have been cases where some applicants who did not undergo the NPC screening were approved, while others who participated in the screening are still awaiting approval.
